THE COOLEST PLACE for all your Bar and Bat Mitzvah needs
At JFX Bnai Mitzvah is about:
- A priceless opportunity to connect kids with Judaism in their own way.
We don't believe every bar or bat mitzvah should be celebrated in the same way, because each child is different, and what pulls them to their Jewish identity will be unique and different. We want to tap into that pull, to help kids stay connected and affiliated through adolescence and beyond. - Inspiring
The Bnai Mitzvah program at JFX creates an environment that will inspire your child, broaden the lines of communication between you and your child, and make this special occasion an enjoyable and truly definitive landmark in their lives - Create bonds
Our Bnai Mitzvah mentors create bonds that will stay with your kids throughout their teenage years
Meet our Bnai Mitzvah Mentors
Passionate, motivated, accepting, are some of the frequent descriptions people associate with the Sorscher’s. Adina, a native of Cleveland, and Yeshurin, originally of New York, are the co-directors of Junior NCSY in Cleveland, as well as Jewish Student Union directors in our public and privates schools. Curriculum overview and faculty mission:
Our teachers strive to harness each child's interests and strengths. Throughout the year we will connect students with our beautiful Jewish heritage in a variety of stimulating ways for authentic experiential Bnai mitzvah learning that includes:
- Practicing Hebrew and English prayers
- Jewish prayers
- Preparing a speech
- Developing positive character traits based on Jewish values such as charity, loving kindness, visiting the sick, and positive language
- Working within your timeline
Hebrew language:
We will meet each student where he or she is in their Hebrew knowledge. We understand that every student’s learning process is unique, so we customize each one’s Hebrew reading based on the pace in which they learn.
