Meet Sam Fried, our Yom Kippur Speaker

Join us on Yom Kippur as Sam will share his experience in the physical as well as in the ideological battlefields, the miracles of his first- hand experiences in Gaza, and doubling down on our Jewish identity in today’s world.

Sam served in the IDF and on October 7th, he knew he had to take action to protect Jews and eradicate the inhumanity that Hamas brought to the world. Sam is a First-Sergeant Paratrooper reservist in the IDF who recently returned from fighting in Gaza. He served as a commander of a squadron and as a sharpshooter. Since returning home, Sam has been committed to Israel advocacy, speaking to Jewish and non-Jewish communities around the country.

Meet Aaron Ziff, our High Holidays Cantor

Aaron Ziff has been a cantor for over 30 years, having led Shabbat, holiday, and High Holiday services for large congregations, including Poale Zedek (Pittsburgh) and Green Road Synagogue (Cleveland). Aaron developed a love for music and singing from the time he picked up a guitar at the age of seven. He has given bar mitzvah lessons (most recently and currently, to his twelve year-old son) and, along with his wife Shana, previously served as Youth Directors at Young Israel of Greater Cleveland.
