Sunday School at JFX is all about:
- Believing that every Jew deserves the opportunity to discover the richness of Judaism
- Opportunities for both kids and their parents to simultaneously learn about their heritage, each on his own level, to create a holistic, Jewishly educated and identified family
- A community of young families creating an atmosphere that fosters a life-long love of Judaism
- Having teachers who are role models, and whose lives reflect the values and traditions of Jewish heritage
- Comprehensive Hebrew reading curriculum
"We love Sunday school at JFX. Every week is a new Jewish themed activity and Rochie makes studying the Torah fun for the kids. The kids wake up Sunday morning excited to go to JFX. Rabbi Koval is amazing and very patient with the kids. He meets them where they are and helps them grow. We are so happy to part of a community where Jewish education is engaging and fun."

Curriculum overview and faculty mission:
Our teachers strive to harness each child's interests and strengths. The small teacher-to-student ratio leads to warm, personal, strong and lasting friendships between them.
Throughout the year we will connect students with our beautiful Jewish heritage in a variety of stimulating ways for authentic experiential Jewish learning that includes:
- Hebrew language and reading
- Shabbat and holidays with hands-on activities such as challah baking, menorah building, Passover model Seders, and many more
- Jewish prayers
- Developing positive character traits based on Jewish values such as charity, loving kindness, visiting the sick, and positive language
- Jewish music
- Weekly Torah portion (Parsha)
Hebrew language:
We will meet each student where he or she is in their Hebrew knowledge. We understand that every student’s learning process is unique, so we customize each one’s Hebrew reading lessons based on the pace in which they learn. In order to share the students’ growth in Hebrew reading, we send home a progress report twice a year, in January and in May.
On the progress report, the Hebrew reading process is divided into seven levels: Letter recognition, vowel and sound recognition, blending letter and sound, reading one-syllable words, reading multi-syllable words, reading words with special endings and reading full sentences from a prayer book

Bar and Bat Mitzvah preparation:
The Bnai Mitzvah program with JFX creates an environment that will inspire your child, broaden the lines of communication between you and your child, and make this special occasion an enjoyable and truly definitive landmark in their lives.
